Up to the present time, the amount of donations is at 2.5 million USD, this amount will be divided among four organizations to finance anti-epidemic activities.

These four organizations are Gates Philanthropy Partners, Nuclear Threat Initiative, OpenMined and Our World in Data.

Each organization will receive grants ranging from US $ 300,000 to US $ 1,000,000.

We are committed to being thoughtful and assuring support to combat COVID-19

Hayes added that these four organizations are working hard to stop the spread of coronavirus and minimize risk as much as possible.

The BitMEX operator is not the only cryptocurrency company committed to support and raise money against the pandemic.

In early April, Binance pledged at least $ 2.4 million in support to buy medical devices.

Binance plans to raise an additional $ 2 million through the foundation's charity fund.

Blockchain company Bitfury recently announced that it is using its GPU power to support coronavirus research.
